What is Biochip Technology?

Biochip Array Technology is a platform that can provide the screening of up to 54 food or feed samples providing results for drug residues and toxins in under 3 hours, saving the user both time and money compared to other screening methods.

The market leading technology uses a 9mm x 9mm ceramic chip comprising of 44 discrete test regions, with the capacity to detect antibiotic, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, growth promoting and mycotoxin residues, simultaneously in a range of food and feed samples.

Meat & Seafood Analysis

There are several different types of veterinary drugs used in meat and seafood cultivation to reduce mortality and improve production. Residues of these drugs are highly regulated in food production.

Randox Food Diagnostics provides reliable and economical testing methods to monitor multiple residues from a single sample. Including residues of antimicrobials, growth promoting compounds, synthetic steroids, anthelmintics, coccidiostats and triphenylmethane dyes.

Honey Testing

Randox Food Diagnostics provide a full profile for honey testing including antibiotics and coming soon pesticides. And also a range of quality tests such as sucrose, glucose/fructose, HMF and Diastase. Biochip Array Technology allows the user to screen for drug residues within 54 samples in just 2 hours 30 minutes.

Feed & Cereals Analysis

Randox have solved a problem within the agricultural industry by developing a range of screening platforms for toxins and drug residues within feed and cereals. Multiple mycotoxins can affect crops and drug residues can pass through to feed causing adverse health affects in both humans and animals.

The Myco 9 array was developed with Biochip Array Technology to screen for up to 9 groups of mycotoxins at once per sample. Randox Food Diagnostics also offer one of the only ELISAs on the market for Ergot Alkaloid screening within flour and grass seed.
